The word "prekrstiti" in serbian means both rename and cross (the latter when applied to arms, legs). What does cross (krst) and crossing (krstiti, krštenje) have to do with names? Dunno, ask the christians, they welded that connection into the language.

Anyway, "she unconsciously crossed her legs" then leads to "and latter couldn't remember what are they called now".
