>>When did we start evaluating people based on the malevolence of the people who oppose them?

Some say that's the best way to evaluate somebody- by the behavior of their enemies. Again, that's why Trump got elected last time and will again at this rate.

>>His behavior here crossed a line for me.
>>Bill Clinton crossed a similar line for me when he pardoned Marc Rich.
>>Neither influences the other.
>>They'e both garbage.

Except that you can't attribute a similar act to Trump except by innuendo and "everybody knows" mantras. What, precisely, has he done even close to pardoning Rich? You apparently equate politicization of recent atrocities and lay it at Trump's door, but he defended himself against political smears from others. How easy it would have been to taunt Warren after all her her posturing and blaming when it turns out one of the shooters was a leftist supporter of Warren, not Trump. Did he use that against her? No, he decried politicizations of these tragedies, called for unity and then defended himself after Warren and other political swampers launched hateful attacks. Show me where Trump used these atrocities against opponents and I'll agree he politicized a shooting. If you repeat an earlier reply that you can't quote exactly but have decided anyway, then I have to ask who are you and what have you done with Bill Fitzgerald?
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
