Yes correct, I had to create the table with fieldnames not larger than 8 chars and use only supported datatypes for VFP6 table. But this is a local LOG table, so no problem there, except it does get huge with several millions of records. Depending on the user selection the query would result in too many records, and using aync solves the problem. Only alternative would be to use SQLLite, maybe something I could try as well.
