If you believe what you have written then why the gripe about Trump? He has done somethings right and cultivated the garden e.g. not going to war with North Korea, or with Syria, or with Iran, trying to improve relations with Russua, trying to put an end to the trade imbalance with China, trying to stop/slow illegal immigration, as well as other positives. If the measure of a good politican is "doing something positive" then the guy is right up there with the rest of them.
