>Hi Johan, Koen and Dragan,
>I appreciate the posts you are feeding us here. Of course, the sys(x) functionality is indeed one of the very few foxpro (quite old) "idiosyncrasies".
Yes I tried to explain an internal usage of something that is not that readable, and unfortunately used a total different scenario to explain the use of enumerators.

I could have used 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, but I preferred EditStyle.View, Insert, Delete, Update. We can associate these with the numbers, or we can let the compiler generate the necessary.

>Of course I understand that this post was about readability and enum. I get it! And it is quite relevant. Just the example you choose. Most of us maintain applications that are quite large and what we look for is maximal cover of the VFP limited grammar.
>Thanks for the great work and your support here. We are getting into the work that the xsharp is trying to achieve!

Thank you and yes, although limited, X# provide us with the tools to extend our grammar. It is to the drawingboard for all to assist in easing VFP coders into the world of XBase.NET
