Hi,

I have been trying to learn how to format my posts in Stackoverflow that the code will appear as code. But it does not work. The Help on Stackoverflow says use 4 spaces before a line and the line will appear as a code. I am using Chrome and it does not change anything when I put 4 spaces in front of a line. The Help on Stackoverflow also Code but I don't know how to use it.

I like UT/LE where you can use Pre tag and make the code appear as code. Is there a tag in Stackoverflow that servers a similar purpose?

TIA

UPDATE. Putting a backtick before and after a string makes it appear as code. Good.
But still I can't figure out how to make each line to be on a separate line; instead of all lines/code to be as a paragraph.
