I use Access and Assign methods in custom classes. The control or container class can have multiple objects and I might want to get the value from one of the contained objects such as a textbox. In a control class the textbox is not visible outside of the class. So I define a property with the Access and/or Assign method. Then in the Access method I can return the value of the textbox. Similarly I can use the Assign method to assign an initial value to the textbox at run-time.
