>It may be a language problem.. To me, _screen.top=0 and _screen.left=0 still sounds like the correct fix, but clearly it's not. I always think of an application object as a non visual "thing", while when I hear the word window, it's clearly visual.
IIRC, now that I was re-reading some stuff from the Hacker's guide, the distinction between the two first appeared in v7 or maybe 6. So now coordinates of _screen are those of the inner window...
?_vfp.Left, _vfp.Top, _vfp.Height, _vfp.Width
?_screen.Left, _screen.Top, _screen.Height, _screen.Width

I'm getting _screen 4px to the right (even though the border is 1px only), 331px lower (because of docked command window), 359px less high (docked command, toolbar, title bar, menu, status bar), 8px narrower (bullshit, the other border is also 1px).

Try this:
_screen.AddObject("o", "container")
_screen.o.visible=.t.
_screen.o.Move(0,0,10,10)
_screen.o.Move(_screen.Width-10, _screen.Height-10,10,10)

I kind of see a 1px border above it in the first case, which may be part of the command window's border.

_screen.o.Move(_vfp.Width-10, _screen.Height-10,10,10)

pushes it thos 8px to the right, with just 2px left visible.

>Or maybe I misinterpret the meaning of the words visual and visible?

When our oldest daughter enrolled into studies of visual arts, she immediately got into all those pixels and vectors, so I thought visual arts were like visual fox - same old but now with a GUI. Then later I found that visual arts existed before the invention of mice, pixels and windows. That' we call it likovne umetnosti - where lik is a likeness, a face, could hence be interpreted as portrait arts. Which then made me rethink what Visual meant in programming languages. Got me nowhere, though, I'm still unable to think of anything smart (except the lack of logic and rules in english, but that I knew from before).

>The process of first translating the code and text into Norwegian, and then really understanding what's going on, is harder than it may seem.

See where it got me with translating into serbian. We both got what we deserved. Whuch* the question, such the answer.

* the word is sorely missing in english.
