>>You will find below the results of a plain set of sql test actions on a mid-sized data set - a 100,000 records table fed with 10 Mb text resource. The stuff was run on an oldish relatively RAM-constrained machine. But of course we could have run it on much bigger data sets. I ran the duckdb test on 20 millions records on a recent machine. It just flies for most operations.
Interesting. Reviewed available documentation: an embedded OLAP database with no dependencies including no server launch, that (for example) could be compiled in a fll- or theoretically, embedded in your VFP Compiler app.
2 things I haven't been able to establish:
1) Where is data stored - single file or multiple files? and
2) None of the examples includes credentials. Does it have encryption/security?
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
