>I looked up some data on the 2009 H1N1 flu (Obama administration - but I'm sure it was Bush's fault). and compared it to the coronavirus. To me the current panic doesn't match the facts. Do any of you remember the same panic in 2009? So, where are we today?
>H1N1 2009 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has estimated the global death toll from the 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic at more than 284,000,
>April 15, 2009
> First human infection with new influenza A H1N1 virus detected in California.
>June 19, 2009
> All 50 states, the District of Colombia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands had reported cases of 2009 H1N1 infection.
>June 25, 2009
> CDC estimated at least 1 million cases of 2009 H1N1 influenza had occurred in the United States.

>H1N1 This year
>ABC news 21 Feb 2020 -" So far, 16,000 people have died and 280,000 people have been hospitalized during the 2019-2020 flu season, according to preliminary estimates from the CDC" . ( in Florida about 70% are H1N1(week ending 29 Feb) or about 200 deaths/week- 10 years after it was identified and even with this years flu shot which matched H1N1).

> WHO Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) " first reported from Wuhan, China, on 31 December 2019".
>CBS news about 13:30 5 March 2020
>Globally, the epidemic has spread to 81 countries, infecting at least 95,000 people and killing more than 3,200. But more than 50,000 coronavirus patients have recovered and been released from isolation, and experts continue to debate the lethality of the disease.

>First confirmed case of 2019-nCoV infection in the United States, reported on January 20, 2020
>New York Post 5 March 2020
>California joined the list of states declaring emergencies. So far, 11 deaths have been linked to the virus — one in California and the rest in the Seattle area — with 162 confirmed cases across the country.

Too early to tell - and better safe than sorry when it comes to a pandemic.
As a side note: Obama did not blame Bush, but Trump has falsely blamed Obama by claiming he instigated a budget cut (which of course Obama did not lol ol). Waiting for Trump to say it was in HRC's missing emails.
