>>>Those currently criticizing Trump ought to be careful lest their posturing is let down by this virus seeming to be less deadly

>Has the level discourse descended to the point that you are seriously suggesting that there are people who will be "let down" if this virus turns out to be "less deadly?"
>>According to Trump Jr. the liberals and democrats want people to die to "end Trump's winning streak".
Don't you?
Serious question: what if the disease peters out as it seems to be in China. Meanwhile Chicken Littles have been predicting everybody will die, causing bison stampedes in stock markets while as recently as today, Schumer was blasting Trump's "incompetence" putting millions of Americans at risk. Of course Trump will compare his science-based measured decisive approach to haters who were more interested in shrieking "fire!" in a crowded theater.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
