Not intended to be funny. Pediatrician Antevy is quite well known in medical circles, but if you do an internet search looking for his experience I referred to - again today it's limited to Chinese State media sources.

Basically Antevy performed a SARS-CoV-2 antibody test on himself... and it came up showing evidence of disease recovery. Meaning he'd had COVID-19 without knowing. In case of false positive he performed and reported 4 tests, all of which confirmed the result.

He points to brief flu-like symptoms in early January as the likely infection.

Why do I expect this blasted across corporate US media?

1) Because it suggests SARS-CoV-2 was already moving through the Florida pediatric world months ago.

2) Antevy can't get COVID-19 by treating COVID-19 patients. Nor can he give it to anybody else.

3) How many other health practitioners in Florida are in the same boat. More importantly, if we assume kids come from families and communities- who else has had the disease so also is immune.

It matters because suddenly Antevy can practice pediatrics confident he is not risking himself, or others. If most of his colleagues are similarly affected, suddenly pediatrics isn't as dangerous for staff or patients as it is elsewhere. Also- if you can accurately predict immunity in the wider community, you can decide whether wide lock down is indicated or whether at-risk groups need to isolate pending herd immunity.

Assuming this isn't just Chinese propaganda- you ought to be alarmed that Antevy's point doesn't get wider corporate media attention, including a call for "immunity passport" meaning that people like Antevy don't need to socially isolate and it's no longer safety vs social interaction and economy.

FWIW, Dr Birx has described the importance of these antibody teats repeatedly in the WH briefings, but she is ignored in the flurry of "gotcha" questions from corporate media either because they don't understand in which case you need better journalists, or for some other reason.

Funny? As I said- not supposed to be funny. Ask yourself why a US citizen might need to resort to Chinese State Media to read about a fellow US citizen making a very good point that could prevent massive social and financial cost.

And yes, I do check out Chinese State media as well as English-translated middle eastern propaganda and US propaganda organs. Even the biggest liars know to include a little truth to bolster the lies, so multiple sources help dig out the deeply hidden truths IME.
