Ironically, French media is presenting far more balanced coverage including expert criticism of pandemic responses and credence given to modelers. That may be the best outcome from all of this- that doomsday models don't get the same uncritical reception going forward while today's Galileos get inquisitive audience rather than accusations of heresy.
>>I've been cooking some for my family these days. Tonight it's pasta (low-carb variety), I'm debating between grated cheese or grated chunks of Lysol. Tough call.... :)

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
