>Not sure what you are trying to imply here. Turkey was not hit as hard as south and western Europe. You cannot draw any conclusions of effectiveness of treatment from the numbers given above. For example, there are differences in testing capacity, So there are far more COVID19+ cases than officially confirmed. A blood bank in the Netherlands confirmed a couple of weeks ago that approx. 3% of our population had antibodies against COVID 19. If true it would mean that already half a million would have tested positive if everyone was tested.

True, but # deaths vs. recoveries should be comparable in the long run, also percentage of hopitalizations and death of the unknown # of infections - at least in current official statements

>Then there are difference in climate. COVID19 like many other viruses seem to do well in cold and dry weather, so differences in infections might be determined by climate.

That is my hunch on the reason for some numbers like Australia, New Zealand, Suth Africa, Chile and a few others in Southern Hemisphere. No systematic analysis done, and outliers like Ecuador and Peru perhaps due to colder weather due to height above ground.

Totally unclear for me is the lack of recovered data from Norway, England, Netherlands and in part Sweden. Sweden data looks very much like a political, not medical decision to me:
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/sweden/
as distribution is certainly not what you would expect from infection growth data...

If the severity of Covid-19 really is diminished in warm weather, Swedens policy is very smart if you do not believe in a vaccine before winter, rigorous tries to keep infection down now in northern hemisphere is setting the stage for a harsh winter. Personally uncertain if "# of severe cases" might not be a better border to aim for, as NY and Italy have shown that keeping Health system not overburdened is keeping death percentage much lower.

Can you shed a light on the reason for no recovery # published for Netherlands ?
