Have you tried multiple/virtual desktops in Win10? 2 minute video overview at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HJbPDxzDqUUltrawide (sometimes curved) monitors can reduce bezel issues and be a bit more ergonomic (at higher unit cost) e.g. 3840x1080, 3840x1440
DP can support daisy-chaining monitors (which support that feature), it can make cabling easier and give you more choice of video cards i.e. you might need only 2 or 3 DP outputs instead of 6.
My eyes aren't getting any younger, I find 23" my minimum for a full HD display, and 24" is more comfortable. Might be a consideration if you plan on keeping them for a while.
A good rule of thumb for ergonomics is the distance between your face and the screen(s) should be 1.5x the diagonal measurement of the screen(s).
