Hi Walter,
>Currently even the 3 Full HD monitor cannot still my hunger to more real estate and am considering a 6 full HD monitor setup.
Kudos for this useful thread!
I definitely believe we are moving to a much more immersive computer technology experience. I understand that the word immersive is currently attached to video games and television world. But sure, this will apply as well to:
- software developers such as the ones on this forum,
- "office software" end-users, such as our customers.
Since this this an MS-Orientated forum, I look forward to a feedback on what kind of VFP and/or C# developers are using to-day - how many screens, what size, how they set up and used!
As far as I am concerned I am on the dinosaur side of development. And I still make very limited use of "screen real-estate" with typically at most two monitors at the same time. But I am ready to change and look forward to hearing about the way each of you takes advantage of multiples screens!
This issue has become much more significant recently for myself as as we now try deliver "immersive visual experience" with UI forms that can convey v-e-r-y large and extensible images (maps and point-based high-density graphics). I personaly moved to larger screens to anticipate the 2021-2022 user-experience.
Gosh! It looks like the 640x480 screen limit has gone:-)
