>I am still partial to the very old Nexus 7 (have 2 of those), but CPU too weak nowadays to do more than reading/browsing. Huawei MediaPad M6 8' is IMO best technology, but suffers from Google services ban, so for testing the precursor MediaPad M5 is probably better choice if you need to integrate even one of those. CPU middle class, great finish, screen nice.
>Lenovo still has entry level 7' AFAIK - my first tablet was a Lenovo, sturdy enough, but not enough CPU power for ever more bloated web offerings, which is also true for Samsung 8' IMO. I am able to use my old tablets because their subnet blocks most advertising via PiHole.
