I guess it was directed at me.

The reasons for going for a 6 x 22" display are as follows.
1- A 4K screen does not still my hunger. I can only show 4 FULL HD screens on there. 2x 4K screens will be painful to use comfortably as you would have to turn your head way too much. If there were 49" 5760 x 2160 curved widescreens I might reconsider, but those do not exist (yet).

2 - Those 6 screens are independent from each other. I can run each monitor on the resolution and DPI settings of my liking, which is a bonus as we are in the process of making our app DPI aware. Having windows snap to the boundaries of the monitor without extra tools is a bonus.

3 - The price of the Dell P2219H (IPS, ultrathin bezel, decent quality) was only about a 105 euro excl VAT. Its hard to beat. Purchasing them a DELL would be at least a 50 euro more. So I got a good deal.

4. I might experiment with alternative setups like orientating two of them vertically for long code windows. I might get excited about this and order two higher resolution screens and throw them into the mix.

5. I can tilt, swivel and rotate each screen individually, so maximizing ergonomics.

6. I do not want to use it as one big screen, it is just to have lots of windows open at the same time and give them their own monitor.

>>How do you manage to even see the 3 monitors? (let alone 6). I have a pretty big desk and have two 22" monitors. Even if I wanted to add the 3rd monitor, I don't know where I would stand it. Where would you put/stand the 6 monitors?
>>
>>>I've been working with a dual monitor setup since the late 90's, I switched to a 3 monitor setup about a few years ago.
>>>
>>>Currently even the 3 Full HD monitor cannot still my hunger to more real estate and am considering a 6 full HD monitor setup.
>>>
>>>So far I found the following hardware to do this.
>>>- Sapphire GPRO 6200 video card with 6 mini DP
>>>- 6 x Dell P2219H - 21.5" monitor
>>>- a FPMA-D700D6 NewStar flat screen desk mount
>>>
>>>I would cost me about 1.500 euros. Any better suggestions. Any reasons not to do this?
