That's a valid point, though I've seen both pictures and videos and from the naked eye, they appeared to be as crowded as before.

I'm in the "temperance" view of all this - I think it was gross overreaction to shut down schools and businesses. However, there's only one justification for the "nanny state", and we're seeing it here in the U.S., too much irresponsible behavior.

The moment they lifted the bans in Wisconsin, there were people hitting the bars and having big parties. Sure, I miss going out to our favorite family pub with the 10 gazillion big screen TVs inside, but I'm willing to play it safe and go when it makes sense to.
