The Hentzenwerke site prices the Hacker's Guide as "book and CD" or "CD only". It doesn't market it as "Book and coupon for CD" Or "Book and downloadable CD".

Obviously you don't mind the download thing, but:

1) some of us do;
2) some of us like to get what we believe we have bought in the single transaction, and not in additional days after filling/mailing some coupon.

The case may also be makable that "Book plus DOWNLOAD" should be considerably cheaper than "Book and CD".

Had their site had 3 options, namely "Book and CD" or "Book and download CD" or "CD only", then things might be different, but they didn't offer that. I suppose CD only would mean the arrival of a coupon only, to either be returned or providing password for download!

I really don't know why people ggenerally tolerate this crap, but obviously I'm once again in the minority.
