Am currently using Kasperksy on my main rig at the office -- the rest of the computers at the office (with the with the exception of a few running XP and Win98 -- mainly kept around for compatibility with a few DOS-based and Win16 software) are running Windows Defender, and I've not had any problems on them with regards to malware and viruses (Windows Defender has generally been pretty solid since Vista and Windows 7).
