>>Perfect example: his line the other day about "children are almost immune from COVID-19". Twitter and Facebook have jumped on this for being misinformation - the fact is that it's such a sloppy representation of facts that it's not even good enough to be deemed "false"

>>But Trump can't do that.....he's dangerous with information, and he harms his own efforts. He's sloppy to the extreme.
Biden is dangerous because he's in serious, serious mental decline.

Trump and Biden are both their own worst enemies from the words coming out of their mouths. Their presidential debates could be a disgrace- except that media seems to have a pretty low opinion not just of GOP voters, but of Democrat voters as well if media really believes that shielding Biden from presidential debates will prevent his voters seeing the truth.

As for "immune" - as always you want to go to source rather than "non-partisan" media paraphrase, so:

“If you look at children, children are almost — I would almost say definitely — but almost immune from this disease. So few — they’ve gotten stronger. Hard to believe. I don’t know how you feel about it, but they have much stronger immune systems than we do, somehow, for this. And they don’t have a problem. They just don’t have a problem,”

According to CNN, "Trump said he would get media criticism for using the term “totally immune,” adding, “but the fact is that they are virtually immune from this problem.”

Despite the "almost" and "virtually" (mixed in with a helpful "I would almost say definitely") which excess verbiage perhaps might indicate a statement of opinion for apologists, medically Trump did misuse that word and I agree your proposed alternatives are far superior, which is a perfect example of his unforced errors providing partisan media and opponents with endless ammunition while his actual argument to get kids back to school, is completely lost. If the CNN note is correct, he even knows he's doing it at the time but persists regardless.

Meanwhile, critics who simultaneously have no trouble rationalizing/downplaying repeated gaffes from elsewhere, again seem to have a very low opinion of Democrat voters if they believe nobody is noticing the double standard. My own contacts in the US say they are profoundly disappointed in US politics and media in general, not least the gleeful double standards and maneuverings for power as if those are virtues. So who knows where that will go.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
