>>>>>>>>Agree. Vote Trump, at least you're not getting a career politician whose only concern is a turn at the trough. And there's the entertainment value. Going the other way is the end of America and the start of Amerika - more free stuff for all.
>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>You don't think Trump is destroying the USA then.
>>>>>>>The most divisive president ever at home and overseas.
>>>>>>>Plumbing new lows in international relations at a time when China and Russia need careful handling. Hes a dangerous clown and a supine republican party are letting him get away with it. checks and balances are smashed up all over the white house floor.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>LOL If you believe the USA is run by a single guy. Also LOL if you think the issues in America can be understood with single factor explanations i.e. Orange Man Bad. And, no, I don’t think he is destroying America. He is for sure not polished as a politician and comes across clownish but I would rather a clown then career politicians who have sold their souls for fame and fortune, are serial warmongers, and scandal ridden. This is not about one guy calling the shots.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>The much more important question is why you think either candidate, either party, cares about you or is going to make any difference to your quality of life. Voting is all a game played for the benefit of the masses to make them believe they have power when they in fact have none. Vote harder.
>>>>>
>>>>>what do you mean by vote harder ?
>>>>
>>>>Sarcasm.
>>>
>>>quite a nihilistic view of things then. I'd disagree.
>>
>>Not nihilistic, realistic. You have decades and more of proof if only you would take the time to look into it. Voting serves no purpose other than, at best, changing whose at the trough and, at worst, keeps you believing in the game.
>>
>>>I think there always hope. Not all politician are self serving charlatans.
>>
>>News flash, news flash, read all about it, this just in ... https://tinyurl.com/y3obq538 ... £250 million PPE contract inexplicably awarded to the “family office” Ayanda Capital by UK gov while procurement regulations are suspended due to Covid19 ... Now £150 million of face masks delivered are unusable as they do not meet the required standards of the NHS ... There's your good old chaps in power doing Blighty proud. Your tax dollars at work. Thank you for voting, please play again.
>>
>>Low level politicians at, say, council level or lower might be trying to do something good. But you dont get near the top unless you tow the corporatocracy line. The very nature of politicans attracts those with a desire for power and authority. “The desire to be a politician should bar you for life from ever becoming one.” - Billy Connolly - spot on.
>>
>>>IMO in the English speaking world one of the most divisive factors has been Murdoch media and some other media magnates. Hopefully people could start reading the news with a more critical eye.
>>
>>You need to stop reading main stream media entirely. There is no independent real investigative journalism anymore in the main stream - it is all driven by vested interests on one side or the other. You can write what you like so long as they like what you write. Blaming Murdoch is again far too simplistic analysis and just shows your own bias. You're trying to pick between different liars as if the act of choosing the winner makes them all right. Alibaba and the 40 politicians.
>>
>>Keep voting. I'm sure the next government are going to be honest.
>
>Murdoch because that a name that sings to mind. But there's very little media that is not owned by a small number of right wing businessmen. The Guardian and the BBC (which has their own problem and which the right despise) are some of the few media outlets that arent.

All mainstream media is owned by vested interests and in the US it is almost universally owned by the left / Dem-leaning, not the right. The BBC and The Guardian are bought and paid for by vested interests. You cannot understand what is going on by looking at mainstream media - it is all propaganda, agenda drivel. There is no truth in journalism in mainstream media anymore. The news industry is not in the business of news anymore. It is in the business of entertainment and propaganda. Go read Edward Bernays' book Propaganda as a start (amongst so many to choose from).
In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends - Martin Luther King, Jr.
