If you believe in democracy, then Trump is supposed to represent them too and is not evil for doing so and nor are they. In a modern democracy or republic, your role to get your way should be to convince your fellow citizens. Merely lashing out at Trump seems unlikely to convince anybody of anything. If you can get public sentiment that Climate Change is a serious threat up to (say) 90% like Greece, then no politician can afford to stand against that.
