If he is close to MS tools, via OleDB driver - same answer if accessing via Dotnet.
if he is working outside that sheaf- data scientist with R, Python or a DB server on Linux -
via ODBC driver, but NOT stock vfp one, as this is left on vfp6 or so, but via Advantage DB, which costs a bit.
Free alternative running Linux and Windoze will be xharp, but not certain if already production level - in half a year I believe it will be (have not checked since March)

if he is a good friend, write a small vfp program generating a JSON data schema from any vfp table plus SDF file, as this format has least problems compared to CSV and Excel imports - might be doable in xSharp as well.

Last option only if no memo fieldsoccur - before hacking some naming schema, import to any DB you friend can read.
