Socrates (according to Plato and Cicero) is given credit to ideas behind "scio me nihil scire", today often shortened to "scio nescio". While such a statement does point to a certain confusion about knowledge, I'd NOT claim the person to be confused. He might refrain from saying "I'm a realist", which Plato might second, just on doubting knowledge of "true" reality...
Will NOT discuss apple talk mentioned later on unless given a good meal and lots of beer in Walhalla...
