If I create a class and put a non-path location bmp on the button the fullpath gets stored in the class property. I can then on a form delete the Picture property and it stays deleted. The same thing goes for replacing the Picture with another, even one that on the path. I don't think you can force VFP to store fullpath pictures if the picture is on the path though. Because VFP is going the store a minimal path for the file.

David thanks for your insight on this issue and the time I know you spent on it. I have passed your theories to my fellow programmers and several light bulbs went off on other issues that they have seen with this property problem.
