Use OLE/ActiveX Automation. Go into Word and Excel and begin recording a macro, perform the replace on the $NAME, $ADDRESS, $SALUTATION, or whatever other fields you have in your biolerplate template. Then take that code and put it into VFP and automate it.

Doesn't work instantly, but 30 minutes will get you going.
