It was a classic male p**ing contest and McCain doesn't get a pass because he was a war hero- most likely he'd be offended by such a notion. Lowest blow? Well, for a Senator from the same party to dispatch a staffer to collect a political hit dossier paid for by the opposition and deliver it to the FBI to help kick-start the Russia hoax against his own candidate... not so sure I'd call that bravery and genuflect, but whatever.

Things we care about are not always mainstream any more, so while the latest attacks seem designed to play on patriotic support of troops, I'm not sure the mud will stick satisfactorily even if it does, if you see what I mean.

Though I think trump as President is a disaster and his handling of Covid and the urban unrest has been abysmal I do think he gets a quite a bit of unfair press.

I don't like the articles about his wife and his relationship with her. Nobody voted for her. Articles about his older children working in the government are fair enough.
I don't like articles based on "sources".

I noticed he was accused of not wanting wounded veterans at a military parade. I'm fairly sure Thatcher (the love idol of the right) did exactly the same things after the Falklands.
