It's funny you mention sports - there is a marked slant in political messaging from both athletes and now sports media.

Certainly, some big name athletes have done great things to influence justice in our socieyt.

But I have a problem when athletes with convictions for slapping women around, suddenly decide to jump on the "woke" bandwagon.

And then you have complex issues. LeBron James has done A LOT to help deprived kids in the areas of education. And for that matter, Colin Kaepernick has donated money and time to such efforts. They are to be applauded for that, and I personally don't think they get enough recognition for that.

But on the other hand, both have put their foot in the mouth many times and in very embarrassing ways (usually because they are parroting liberal talking points)
