>>I see "Radical Liberal" a lot.
>>Wow! Radical Liberal! That sounds ominous, doesn't it?

Not that I like to bandy about epithets- but a purist would say that most independents and many Republicans are liberal. Healthcare cover for the poor and seniors is fairly liberal as is society's funding of libraries, schools etc etc.

So "liberal" doesn't cut it if you're considering the "defund the police" "disband the military" "eat the rich" sorts. I don't see "radical liberal" so much - radical or extreme left or right seem to be more popular descriptive terms of policy bogeypersons to be feared.

>>It never fails.

Do they say "Donald Trump" to provoke the same response from you? ;-)

>>When I ask them who preceded Nancy as speaker though I get a blank stare
>>It was Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) After leaving the job he did time for stealing money while in office. He needed the money to pay off boys he molested while he was a high school wrestling coach.

That's funny- I thought it was my cousin Paul. Never mind.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
