>>The disgusting, degenerate, draft-dodging liar is the POTUS and he is saying that the virus is basically harmless to most people (he doesn't seem to know that 200K have died, but he's been busy playing golf at Bedminster so we can understand that)

That's the version Mika et al were sighing about, but it's not what the clip shows. In the clip he clearly refers to the disease largely affecting the elderly with comorbidities- which is true- then says some states have no cases under age 18, complimenting young people on their immune systems before saying it affects virtually nobody. In context, he's referring to the people he's just been talking about- young people in states with no cases aged under 18. Mika et al snipped out the "affects virtually nobody" to pretend it's the whole message. Go listen again- it's not a long clip.

It affects elderly people. Elderly people with heart problems and other problems. If they have other problems, that’s what it really affects. That’s it. You know, in some states, thousands of people, nobody young. Below the age of 18, like, nobody. They have a strong immune system, who knows. You look — take your hat off to the young, because they have a hell of an immune system. But it affects virtually nobody. It’s an amazing thing. By the way, open your schools, everybody.

That highlighted bit at the end was snipped out in Mika's clip, perhaps because that might "confuse" you that he's still talking about young people rather than the version Mika wants you to get angry about. Your version doesn't even make sense- he correctly asserts it affects mostly elderly with comorbidities- of whom he has previously identified hundreds of thousands- but now suddenly says it affects virtually nobody?! And wants schools opened for who- older people because it doesn't affect them? Even though he just said it does?

>>He said that it would be over by Easter, so he probably stopped counting somewhere around Good Friday.
>>I can understand that too.

Yes, and Tony Fauci originally said it's safe for older people like him to go on cruise ships. But when Fauci says things like that, it can be understood that the facts changed and like Keynes, when the facts change intellectuals like Fauci change their minds. But not Trump; when he does it, the initial version is called a lie and held against him forever by journalists who also initially downplayed COVID- like Mika herself- but only see the mote in Trump's eye.

>>Or... “I happen to believe in hydroxychloroquine,”
>>He probably thought that that drug had blasted the virus into oblivion and that he could make his 10AM tee time at Bedminster.
>>I can understand that too, but Mika probably had something nasty to say about that, even if I missed it..

Some people I respect a great deal are insistent that hydroxychloroquine has a positive effect if taken early enough and at an appropriate dose. In such cases I often find that "the more you know the more you realize you don't know" so I'm not as adamant against chloroquine as the media and its followers- and nor is there any aspect of morality whether it works or not.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
