DBi does have 64bit versions of their ActiveX controls.

>>You're correct that x64 cannot use 32-bit dlls (or flls). However, the XFRX supplier Eqeus provides regular updates and Martina visits forums fairly often, so she may be able to advise on the feasibility of recompiling for x64.

>That's what I assumed it was too. I had a problem when a user base recently updated to MS Office 365 and installed the 64bit version, so all the things VFP 32 bit was trying to do broke. Fix for now of course was to just have them reinstall the 32bit version of Office 365 and all was good. But this does bring an interesting point. I have not tinkered with the VPA 64bit much but have a little bit. About the only thing I really tried was seeing if it would let me use 64bit ODBC drivers - which it does. My assumption is that using a 64bit ODBC driver vs a 32bit one would give you better performance if connecting to a 64bit SQL Server...so that has potential of being cool... but what about everything else? The apps I'm dealing with have some activex controls in them - like a bunch of stuff from DBI-Tech for example. I assume that none of these 32bit activex controls are going to work in VFPA 64bit, and if the makers of those activex controls don't have a 64bit version then that will pose a bit of a roadblock for me to go to VFA 64 bit. ...unless I'm wrong... and well... I DID the words "assume" and "assumption" a lot there lol lol
