"How can one survive w/o social media?" No problem, I have lived without this antisocial media since it first appeared. Social in my head is to meat someone in person or talk to them (phone, Skype...). Posting messages that everyone can read, is antisocial, as I see it.

I compare it to the smoking pressure when I was young. "Don't you smoke? Are you a coward?" I heard it almost every day. Then some years later: "You never started smoking? Oh, you were tough who managed to stand against all the pressure!"

I make my choices based on my own point of view, not on pressure.

Personally I value privacy (and security) too much to ever enter one of these antisocial media. (Medium = singular, media = plural).
