What I have is an add-in for Beyond Compare (which has a whole architecture to let it compare file types they didn't anticipate) that was created by Frank Perez. Basically, it does the vfp to text conversion behind the scenes and then lets Beyond Compare do its thing. So anything that's in the SCX/VCX gets included. It's been working for me (and for many others) for a long time.
