Hi Victor,

Thanks for get into this thread :-)

>I've used the Installshield Express that ships with with VFP to create MSI ...here is some info

So did I so many years ago. I recall it worked just fine of course. But did not solve a serious issue, requiring installation rights (ie admin ones). I also recall it looked a bit dated as well already back in these years. "dated", "passé" that was a bit reassuring commercially since it looked like good old win32 software. It used to be an advantage, it is now clearly a liability:-(

Anyway installers are of course only a small part of the technical party when it comes to deployment to-day!

I just wonder what it does ! I'd be glad if you tell me more than the techno-speak on the MS website :-)

>...that being said, there might be a better way to do what you want - perhaps others will join in here :)

Sure. I also hope that some come over and explain how they get their "vfp-based" apps onto the workstations in 2021. I shared my tricks and secret weapons: boxedapp bundler accross-the-board exe consolidation + EV code-signing + zipped directory. And I hope others will share their experiences and possibly successful ones!

Daniel
