I looks like the Installer you mentioned - from caphyon - is possibly not that free anymore. Or at least that freemium is not on their LT busines agenda. I understand that since they are provide possibly a much large set of functionalities than the ones I am looking for at the moment. I'll test the advanced product later. But at the moment I'll use Installforge.

Installforge is possibly the simplest installer-building tool on the market; and it will fit the bill of these "limited requirements" (no continuous integration, no registry interactions...). It discovered it is maintained and even possibly supported. Good news:-)
