....meanwhile ... in Hawaii ....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEv4ffqEbU0Wow! Thanks for sharing, that first barrel rider was amazing by herself even before it panned to the second duo... and then a third! Summed up perfectly by the commentator.
P.S. for this event are the jet skis towing riders into the wave or to assist exhausted/wiped out riders to shore? Not sure I'd want to be on a jet ski facing those waves!
/edit/ answered myself: found a clip of the 3rd rider being towed into his wave. Fair enough- not easy to paddle out through that sort of surf to be exhausted before you even begin...
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
