>>You do the false equivalence dance with masterful ability.

Normally I don't respond to these sorts of snipes, except that I have met you and believe your heart is in the right place. So:
your response is as if somebody said "one man's trash is another man's treasure" and you began lecturing "there's a big difference between trash and treasure" with a detailed explanation of this truism.

Whether deliberate or a misunderstood simile, the effect is to stifle discussion and justify the snipe.

Re voter IDs: with Democrat POTUS, House and Senate, now is the chance to make voter id a) free and b) readily accessible which according to you, would excite little disagreement. Those who fawn over Biden and Harris in other posts must be excited that this generational divider finally may be solved. But do you really expect this?

>>When smart people repeatedly make cognitive errors that all bias in one direction, that itself is the statement being made.

Quite. You're smart enough to see that this is a two-edged sword.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
