>OK, we see it differently. I believe in the concept of being a "good citizen", regardless of whether it's for a 16 year old girl who is lost and needs directions, or an 80 year old man who is struggling to carry bags across a parking lot. And I've done more of it since I became a dad. Some of them might appreciate it, some might not. But it's what I believe in.
Understood.
I once met a family. Everything seemed fine. I was asked to drive the wife to visit a sick friend. The husband was strangely insistent about timing - when departing, when returning, etc etc. A bit weird but tolerable. Turns out he had been sexually abusing his kids and his sisters' kids for years. He used me as a pawn to give him time alone with his kids. The kids finally broke the news. The many went to jail and I never got to punch him in the throat as he deserved.
