The note was explicitly about getting away with it. At the same time that we have a long-standing problem of women not being believed, in this country, we also have a long-standing problem of sexual accusations against black men and boys being used as a weapon. That's not really contradictory, because both serve to keep white men in power.

I think by some point in life, most of us have been through some kind of trauma. The measure of who we are is, to some extent, what we do with it.
