Lucky me, it was not any judicial thing, just very annoyed at the defamation.
The thief cop was my ex-employer and he said it to my employer who relayed it to me.
I doubt it made any difference, my employer seemed amused about it.

The point should be obvious - that is why we have innocent until proven guilty.
