This was straight from CNN's medical person, Dr. Sanjay Gupta. It was in response to the valid question on whether someone who has received all the COVID vaccinations needs to wear a mask, weeks after getting the shot.

" People who are vaccinated, they get exposed to the virus. The virus learns then how to sort of adapt and mutate now to a vaccinated person. So, in some ways, by exposing vaccinated people to the virus, you could start to inspire more and more mutations, which is something you don’t want to do."

That's a direct quote. This is either a major verbal gaffe, stupidity, a head-fake, or something else.
Anyone who says the current administration is "following the science" can go ahead an explain this one, or refute it. But this kind of statement from the medical community should not go without comment.

(Lest anyone misconstrues my point....short of medically compelling exceptions like anaphylaxis, I firmly believe everyone should get vaccination. )
