Florida has roughly 21.4 million
So California has roughly 1.8 times the population.
In the last 14 days, 3,345 COVID deaths in California
Over that same period, 1,093 COVID deaths in Florida.
So California has 1.8 times the population, yet a shade over 3x more COVID deaths the last 2 weeks.
(By the way, if you want me to go back over the last 4 weeks, that only makes California's multiplier effect worse)
I'll give you a head start on this one: your reply might wind up vitiating your original point. :)
I am not saying one way or another if I'm a fan of the Florida governor. What I am saying is that there's no strong argument that the lockdowns in some states have made things any better.
