There is no question that COVID has been far, far deadlier for the elderly.
I've followed the death by age-range numbers for an entire year now. Amazingly, they have not changed by much at all. That's right...these % breakouts have stayed fairly static all along.
About 32% of the deaths are age 85 and up.
Nearly 28% of the deaths are age 74-84.
OK, that alone means the median age of death is "around" 79 or so.

About 21.5% of the deaths are age 65-74
OK, so over 80% of the deaths are age 65 and older.
Somewhere between 11-12% are age 55-64. I
So that's over 90%
45-54 is about 4.5%
34-44 is 1.67%
