There is no question that COVID has been far, far deadlier for the elderly.

I've followed the death by age-range numbers for an entire year now. Amazingly, they have not changed by much at all. That's right...these % breakouts have stayed fairly static all along.

About 32% of the deaths are age 85 and up.
Nearly 28% of the deaths are age 74-84.

OK, that alone means the median age of death is "around" 79 or so.

Continuing on...
About 21.5% of the deaths are age 65-74

OK, so over 80% of the deaths are age 65 and older.

Somewhere between 11-12% are age 55-64. I
So that's over 90%

45-54 is about 4.5%
34-44 is 1.67%

I've been trying to find the death by age group demographics for the 1918 flu.
