>Unlike measles or polio that remain fairly static, the whole Coronaviridae ecosystem is known to mutate enthusiastically. Most common colds are coronavirus with some people managing several colds a year as multiple strains circulate, even though their immune response will be protecting from the strain they already had. So depending on how it is identifying C19, a vaccine that is 95% effective against current strains may provide little protection for an upcoming newer strain.

First, Fauci has already gone on record as saying the 2nd vaccination provides much stronger protection against mutations.
But if he's just "spit-balling", then if you'll forgive this rather silly question, why the hell are we bothering with vaccines? What value are they serving? I don't expect you to answer that directly, but I would hope "someone" would.
By the way, this is the entire sequence of events that likely leads to a large portion of the population concluding this is a "deep swamp bait and switch"....and we all know what happened a little over four years ago.
