Sorry no recommendations, but there are components you can plug into your application that handle registration code generation and often (via a service) tracking codes and managing the license online.

For some of my products I use a homegrown service based license management, but to be honest, most of the time that stuff gets cracked and is out there anyway for those that want to find and not pay. Sad, but true. But you want to have at least a minimal barrier of entry - so even something as simple as a validation code that's the same for every user will provide not much worse protection than a more sophisticated registration solution.
