First I remember the movie "the repo man". Aha, so it's a repossession. Nope, this is fox, must be a report. Nope, not long enough to be abbreviated. Then what? Repointer? Reposition? Repolarize? Repolish? Or was it an acronym, REar POsition or what?

Ah, the context is source control... must be repository.

It's so memorable that I've already went through the above paragraph three times at least, and will scratch my head again next time, unless writing this message serves as a mnemonic fix.
