Hi Nigel ---
Two suggestions before running:
1) Drop any INSERT triggers you may have defined for the SQL table.
2) Drop any clustered index you may have defined.
I, too, have VFP blow up in my face when doing mass inserts to remote tables. I've had to work in 200-1000 record chunks because of this.
