>>Since I have been using SQL Server, every data management was handled by script and the code itself within an application. In a new database, there won't be any application to support data entry. This will be populated by script. However, it might be nice to be able to update a specific field in a more convenient way than using a script all the time. I see SSMS has support for Edit Top 200 rows. Despite this allows us to update the data in a field, it doesn't allow us to save it. Why is it called Edit and allowing us to change the value if the save is not supported?

You can edit all the visible fields, if you want to save the changes just go to another record be it with the mouse or with the keyboard. It dosn't have to have a primary key but at least two records doen't have to be equal (I mean the values).
